"You cannot go through life, waiting for happiness" By Diane Kruger in the movie "First Love"

Time is flying; it's hard to believe that April has arrived when January 1st was only yesterday. I came across this song while watching the TV show "East New York," season 1 episode 17, but I am unable to identify the song title or the performer. Nevertheless, the lyrics deeply affected me.
This world moves fast.
For no reason at all
We break our backs.
Spin our minds till we fall into the darkness, into the pain.
Looking for something
Just can't explain.
Feels like it’s closing in
Maybe we missed all the signs.
Feels like it’s closing in
One day one breath at the time
As I listened to the lyrics of this song, I couldn't help but reflect on the fleeting nature of time. It's easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget how little time we actually have, that make it so precious. We never stop to consider how and with whom and on what we are spending our time. Time is our most precious commodity, and we never know how much of it we have left. That's why it's important to make the most of every moment and live our lives with purpose and intention.
For me, that means focusing on the things that truly matter - my relationships, my passions, and my community. I want to give my all to everything that I do, and only devote my time and energy to causes that align with my values and make a positive impact on the world.

Here are some words to live by from Seneca.
“You are living as if destined to live forever; your own frailty never occurs to you; you don't notice how much time has already passed but squander it as though you had a full and overflowing supply - though all the while that very day which you are devoting to somebody, or something may be your last. You act like mortals in all that you fear, and like immortals in all that you desire.”
"No one will bring back the years, no one will restore you to yourself. Life will follow the path it began to take and will neither reverse nor check its course. It will cause no commotion to remind you of its swiftness but glide on quietly, as it started out on its first day. So, it will run on, nowhere pausing, or turning aside. You have been preoccupied while life hastens on. Meanwhile, death will arrive, and you have no choice in making yourself available for that."
How Am I Soaring?

One of my words of the year is “SOAR” so how am I soaring? How am I living by this word? How am I being this word? By working on myself from the inside out, because unless I am producing something different it means I am not changing and the main tool I am using, is repetition,
Repetition is a powerful tool that can help us change our subconscious mind and transform our lives. By reading books like "Psycho-Cybernetics" over and over again, I am slowly but surely rewiring my thought patterns and beliefs.
But that's just one part of the equation. To truly soar, I also need to take action and put my newfound knowledge into practice. This means setting goals and taking small steps every day to achieve them. It means facing my fears and stepping out of my comfort zone. It means being willing to fail and learn from my mistakes.
Of course, this is easier said than done. It takes courage and perseverance to keep going when things get tough. But the rewards are worth it - a life filled with purpose, passion, and fulfillment.
So, as we enter this new month, let's make a commitment to live fully and embrace every moment. Let's cherish the people and experiences that make life worth living, and never take them for granted. Because before we know it, another year will have passed, and we'll be left wondering where the time went.
Truly yours,
The Queen Of Africa
